What should I send when asking for a plumbing quote?
Send your suburb, property type, a short description, when the problem started and two or three clear photos. For a leak, include one wide photo and a close-up of the wet connection.
How do I tell if an under-sink leak is from the water supply or waste?
A supply leak may drip even when the sink is not draining. A waste leak often appears only while water leaves the bowl. Do not rely on this alone—have the connection checked.
Why is water coming from my hot-water overflow pipe?
Some discharge can be normal, but constant flow may point to a valve, pressure or system issue. Do not cap the pipe or dismantle the valve; send photos and arrange an assessment.
Why does my gutter overflow beside the downpipe?
Leaves and sediment can restrict the outlet, but poor fall, a blocked downpipe or damaged connection may also be involved. A photo during or just after rain can help show the flow path.
